Learn Midnight Engineering from Danwe in Silvermoon City. This expansion has its own 1–100 skill bar; older expansion skill does not need to be leveled first.

Counted Engineering route with discovery costs separated

This route buys or recycles for Evercore, then uses early goggles and discovered wrist armor. It avoids assuming that a fixed amount of recycling will discover the recipe you need.

Skill stage Recipe / action Craft budget Ingredients per craft
1–31 Evercore Shade 15 1 Evercore
31–40 Evercore Dome Dinger About 12 1 Evercore; 3 Pile of Junk
Before wrist armor Recycle until you discover an appropriate Quel’dorei recipe Variable 5 eligible crafted reagents per recycling attempt
40–70 Quel’dorei Guards 30 1 Evercore; 1 Malleable Wireframe; 5 Pile of Junk
70–75 Continue the same wrist recipe About 7 Same inputs
75–80 Continue the same wrist recipe Budget 12 initially Same inputs; green skill-ups may need more

Unlock discovery first: at skill 25 choose Recycling and invest 10 Knowledge in its main node. Use the one-time profession treasures if repeating the same recipe has left you short of Knowledge. Recycling before the discovery unlock cannot find the later recipes. Other discovered Quel’dorei wrist pieces can substitute if their displayed input quantities match.

Shopping total for the listed crafts to about 80

Material Amount Accounting
Evercore 76 15 goggles + 12 helmets + 49 wrist pieces
Pile of Junk 281 36 for helmets + 245 for wrists; vendor supply
Malleable Wireframe 49 One per wrist piece; vendor supply
Eligible recycling inputs 5 × your actual attempts Additional discovery budget, not a fixed guarantee

Keep the Arclight Spanner and Gyromatic Micro-Adjustor required by the recipes. If recycling supplies some of the 76 Evercore, subtract that output before buying more. Do not pay for 76 cores plus raw inputs expected to provide those same cores. A further ten wrist crafts add 10 Evercore, 10 wireframes and 50 junk.

80–100: two explicit refill baskets

Choose a recipe you have unlocked. These are alternative routes, not two baskets to buy together. Late skill-ups are probabilistic, so start with ten crafts and reassess.

Recipe / access Per craft Ten-craft shopping batch
Turbo-Junker’s Multitool — Market Mobility → Engineering Tools 1 wireframe; 1 Majestic Claw; 3 Aetherlume; 2 Evercore 10 wireframes; 10 claws; 30 Aetherlume; 20 Evercore
Small Telogrus Lamp — Recycling discovery 5 Aetherlume; 5 Evercore; 10 Song Gear; 2 Soul Sprocket; 8 Thalassian Lumber 50 Aetherlume; 50 Evercore; 100 Song Gear; 20 Soul Sprocket; 80 lumber

The lamp basket buys finished gears and sprockets. If you make those intermediates, replace their purchase entries with their recipe inputs; do not add both costs. The tool route does not consume Fused Vitality. Discovery attempts, pattern unlocks and optional first crafts remain separate from these batch totals. Compare materials already owned and the usefulness of the output before choosing.
