WoW Classic · Original materials — choose your realm’s terrain
Updated 21 October 2026
Farming areas
- Dustwallow Marsh
- Stranglethorn Vale
- Feralas
How to farm Heavy Leather
Kill and fully loot suitable beasts, then skin their corpses. Carry a Skinning Knife.
Classic Era, TBC and Wrath use the original Azeroth terrain. Cataclysm and Mists use the reworked world, so use a route for your realm’s terrain.
See Skinning leveling for progression and related materials.

Targets and farming method
Skin Jungle Stalkers and Young Jungle Stalkers in the original Stranglethorn Vale (levels 40–41). Dustwallow’s Stonemaul Ruins and Den of Flame also produce Heavy Leather, mixed with Thick Leather.
