Retail · Mists of Pandaria materials
Updated 23 October 2026
Start here
Start with the Valley of the Four Winds circuit below. Switch to Jade Forest or Townlong Steppes if competition makes that loop unproductive.
Choose a repeatable circuit
- Train Pandaria Mining for Retail and enable Find Minerals.
- Complete the Valley loop, detouring to tracked deposits and looting each node.
- If another miner repeatedly reaches nodes first, try Jade Forest; Townlong is another alternative.
- Keep any Black and White Trillium you find for the Trillium Bar recipe.
Rich Ghost Iron Deposits give more ore than ordinary deposits. Trillium veins are rare alternatives to Ghost Iron deposits. Compare full circuits including travel time rather than judging a route from one empty node.

This is the Retail guide for Ghost Iron Ore. It covers an older expansion’s crafting material, not Midnight’s new reagents.
Train Pandaria Mining for this material. Retail uses a separate 1–75 Pandaria skill bar; the old combined 1–600 progression does not apply. Character levels depend on zone scaling and timeline selection, so the map and quest requirements in your current game determine access.
Where to farm Ghost Iron Ore
- Valley of the Four Winds
- Jade Forest
- Townlong Steppes
Enable Find Minerals and follow the zone circuit. Gather other deposits along the way rather than waiting beside a single spawn; competing miners and respawn timing change how much you collect.
