Farming Gold Ore — Retail

WoW Farming ·

Retail · Original WoW / Classic Era materials
Updated 21 October 2026

This is the Retail guide for Gold Ore. It covers an older expansion’s crafting material, not Midnight’s new reagents.

Train Classic Mining for this material. Retail uses a separate 1–300 Classic skill bar; the old combined 1–600 progression does not apply. Character levels depend on zone scaling and timeline selection, so the map and quest requirements in your current game determine access.

Where to farm Gold Ore

  • Western Plaguelands or Felwood

Enable Find Minerals and follow the zone circuit. Gather other deposits along the way rather than waiting beside a single spawn; competing miners and respawn timing change how much you collect.

Feralas — Iron and Gold

Feralas — Iron and Gold base mapwow-farming.info · Retail / WoW Classic Cataclysm and Mists · reworked Azeroth
Follow the rocky margins of northern Feralas and detour toward tracked deposits. Gold is a rarer vein; clear Iron along the route. Keep away from faction settlement guards. Markers identify approximate areas. Lines are suggested searches; they are not fixed spawn locations or a measured yield guarantee.
