This guide covers information available on 21 October. Forever is a separate ruleset: use these instructions instead of the Retail or Classic recipe ranges.
Carry a knife and fully loot the corpse before skinning. For creatures above level 20, the required skill is creature level × 5; lower-level creatures follow different thresholds.
Leveling Skinning

Materials and farming
The table lists skill targets. Recipe colors, available trainers and material supply determine how many crafts you need. Save intermediate products; buy vendor supplies instead of looking for a world farm.
