After leveling dozens of characters through quests, doing quests isn’t as much fun as it used to be. There are a lot of other reasons you might want to “grind” your way to max level, you may have a friend who is “power leveling” you, you might have a second WoW account that is killing the mobs or you might want to make more gold while leveling.

Starting in Elywnn Forest you can level all the way to 90 by only doing a few quests, while also earning tons of cloth, leather, ores and herbs.

Elwynn Forest (9-12)

In Elywnn you’ll find yourself killing wolves, murlocs, kobolds, bears and gnolls. You can remember the famous episode of South Park where the kids “grind” by killing millions of boars in Elywnn, it’s conceivable that this grinding area is based on their experience:

Redridge Mountains Loop 1 (12-15)

In Redridge you’ll find spiders, gnolls, boars and fox. Head to Three Corners, right at the entrance of Redridge Mountains from Duskwood and Elwynn Forest. This area is great until about level 15 when you can move to the next loop.

Redridge Mountains Loop 2 (15-18)

For the next route, from level 15 to 18, you just need to head east to the coast and fight north along the Lakeridge Highway. Here you’ll find more spiders, gnolls, gotetusks and fox.

Duskwood (18-22)

Once you reach level 18 you can leave Redridge and head to Duskwood to the southwest. Here you will find packs of wolves and spiders. You can find these south of the river separating Elwynn and Duskwood. As far west as the cemetery and as far east as the zone extends. This is a massive and really efficient farming area.
